Woodside
The restaurant is on 61st Street between Roosevelt and 39th, which puts most of Woodside within a fifteen-minute walk. This is the neighbourhood the room was built for and about half of any given Tuesday is people who live within six blocks.
Sunnyside
Ten minutes on the 7 from 46th Street or 40th Street, or a twenty-five minute walk along Roosevelt if the weather is behaving. Sunnyside is the second-largest group in the book after Woodside itself.
Astoria
The Q66 runs down 61st Street and takes about twenty minutes from Astoria Boulevard. By train it is quicker to change at 74th Street than to go through Manhattan, which surprises people.
Jackson Heights
Two stops east on the 7, or fifteen minutes on the Q32. Close enough that people come here for a table when Roosevelt Avenue is fully booked, which on a Saturday it is.
Elmhurst
About twelve minutes on the Q60 or four stops on the 7 with a change. Most Elmhurst bookings are dinner rather than brunch.
Long Island City
Four stops on the 7, roughly eleven minutes, and the last train back is not a problem at any hour we are open. A good share of the bar's late business comes from here.
Maspeth
The Q18 stops three blocks away and takes about fifteen minutes. Driving is often easier from Maspeth than from anywhere else on this list, though you will be parking on the street.
Rego Park
Twenty minutes on the R to Northern Boulevard, then nine minutes on foot. Worth checking weekend track work before you set out — it affects this route more than most.
Corona
Five stops west on the 7. Corona and Woodside share a lot of the same commute, and a fair number of our regulars are people who pass through 61st Street twice a day.
Middle Village
The Q18 again, about twenty minutes. Middle Village bookings skew to early dinner, which is the easiest part of the evening to get a table in.
Forest Hills
The R to Northern Boulevard, or the LIRR to Woodside if the timing works, which is ten minutes and drops you directly above the restaurant.
Ridgewood
The M to Northern Boulevard and a short walk, or the Q58 and the Q18 with one change. About twenty-five minutes either way.
