Gift cards
Any amount you like, no expiry date, no dormancy fee and no small print. Bought in the restaurant or over the telephone — there is no online shop, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
The terms, in full
- They do not expire. Not after a year, not after five.
- No fee of any kind — not to buy one, not to hold one, not to use one.
- Spend it in parts. A balance is a balance and we keep track of it.
- Usable on anything: food, drink, the bar, private dining, the supper club.
- Lost one? Tell us roughly when it was bought and for how much, and we will find it.
That list is short because there genuinely are no other conditions. Most of what makes gift cards unpleasant — expiry dates, inactivity fees, exclusions at weekends — exists because unspent balances are profitable. We would rather you spent it.
How to buy one
Come in any time we are open, or telephone 000-000-0000 and we will take it over the phone and have the card ready to collect. If it needs to reach somebody else, we will post it, and that is free too.
Why there is no online shop
Because building one would mean a payment processor, a fulfilment process and a page that breaks quietly at Christmas, in order to sell a thing that takes ninety seconds on the telephone. If we ever have enough demand to justify it we will build it and say so here.
